The no sew sandwich wrap tutorial

For the photos for this tutorial I am using our white food safe PUL, you could sew a patterned cotton to the outside of this to make it more interesting, or alternatively try our printed food safe PUL.  First you will need to cut out a square of your PUL. I used a square 26 cm X 26 cm for a single sandwich (two slices of bread) and 30 cm x 30 cm for a double sandwich (four slices of bread).

Next I marked the position for the snaps, in one corner I marked approximately 2-2.5 cm from the edge.

Mark the position of the snaps

On the opposite corner I marked three marks, the first at 2 -2.5 cm and the following two marks 2 cm and 4 cm after this.

 Re-enforce the snaps

If you are just using PUL, you will need to add a extra layer of fabric to re-enforce the snaps. For the row of three, I cut an extra layer of PUL and placed it under the snaps on the inside.

 flower snap re-enforcement

You can also do this on the single side, or you can be creative. I cut fabric in flower shapes to re-enforce the single snap, and to add a bit of decoration to the top of the wrap.

Daisy snaps

Once you have added your snaps, making sure that the cap for the row of three snaps faces the inside of the wrap, and the cap for the single snap faces the outside of the wrap, you are ready to use your wrap.

Ready to use your sandwich wrap

Place your sandwich on the centre of the wrap, fold the two corners that don’t have snaps over the sandwich, and then fold the two corners with the snaps, snapping them closed as you do so.
