Cotton Terry Towelling Fabric

This fabric is ideal for backing bibs, burb cloths or other items where you need some absorbency.

Terry cloth

Made from cotton our terry cloth is soft with loops on both sides of the fabric. It is a woven fabric so has little to no stretch. The soft loops in the pile of the fabric make it absorbent and ideal for all kinds of sewing projects. Ivory in colour, it will compliment most fabrics if you are using it as backing. It can also be used for making fitted cloth nappies, or even sewing into squares to be used as old fashioned flat nappies.

Cotton terry towelling

This is the fabric that you will be familiar with from bathroom towels and some bathrobes. For best results avoid using bleach or fabric softeners. Fabric softeners will coat the fibres and reduce the absorbency of the fabric. This is approx 450 gsm fabric (16 oz) which makes it nice and absorbent.

The fabric roll is 150 cm wide approx and we sell it in 50 cm cuts, 1/2 m lengths or full metres.
