Microfibre Terry – White

Description

Microfibre terry – white fabric is a thick and thirsty polyester cloth.  It is a polyester fabric that can absorb large amounts of liquid and yet still be quick drying.

Highly absorbent

Our microfibre terry is able to absorb liquid in two seconds, making it a highly absorbent fabric that can take on liquid quickly.  Microfibre works by holding the liquid between the fibres of the fabric, rather than in them. This makes it is highly absorbent, quick to take up liquid and fast drying.  It is ideal for cloth nappy making because it is highly absorbent and yet quick drying. It also works well for menstrual pads, breast pads or bibs when used as a hidden, absorbent layer.

Microfibre Terry

When using microfibre we would suggest that you combine it with another fabric, such as hemp, bamboo or cotton.  Although microfibre terry is highly absorbent, it can act like a sponge. Using it with a natural fabric means that you get the best of both worlds.  Microfibre terry shouldn’t be placed directly against your babies skin, as it is so absorbent it will draw moisture from their skin and can cause a reaction or rash. This is a good way to get the best of both worlds.

Preparation

Unlike some other fabrics, microfibre terry does not require a prewash before sewing. As the fabric frays easily, it is best to overlock the edges before washing.  Items should be washed before use to remove any residues from the manufacturing process. Microfibre is fully machine washable and can be tumble dried.

Fabric is 100% polyester and the roll width is 150 cm.
