Description
Sewing clips are a great way to hold your fabric in place without damaging it.
Who needs pins?
Pins are a great choice for holding your fabric steady and in place when sewing. For some items though, they just aren’t the right choice. Pins pass through the fabric, leaving small holes which can cause damage. If you are sewing something like PUL, which is waterproof, the last thing that you need is holes. Although you can use pegs or paper clips for the same job, these little clamps are perfect for the job of holding fabric. The little clips with firmly hold the fabric in place, stopping it from slipping as you sew. These clips will need removing just before the fabric passes underneath the sewing machine foot.
Wonder sewing clips
These clips are perfect for cloth nappy making, sewing breast pads, quilting and many other sewing jobs. Each clip has a line on the bottom at 5 mm, 7 mm and 10 mm. You can easily see how far onto the fabric the clip is holding, making it easier to sew seams and edges neatly. The clips are easier to see than pins, so there is less chance that you will accidentally leave them in anything that you sew, or lose them when dropped on the floor.
Handy sewing aid
These little clips are very handy and easy to use. We currently stock them in two amounts. Each comes in a small plastic tub. A smaller container for sets of 25 clips, or a larger container with a screw on lid for sets of 50. Each set contains a range of different colour clips. The pack of 25 is ideal for smaller projects, while the larger set of 25 would be best for a larger item, or someone who sews more regularly. Add these little clips to your sewing kit today.
