Cute star shaped snaps.  Great decorative and practical feature, use in place of normal round caps with either studs or sockets for a decorative effect.

Cute star shaped snaps

Star shaped snaps are a great alternative to our usual round kam snaps.  Although these snaps will fit with size 20 snaps, they should be applied using the larger size 22 die, as they fit better into this.  Shaped snaps should be applied with slightly less pressure to avoid breaking.  Available in a range of different colours these star shaped snaps can add a great decorative feature to cloth nappies, children’s clothing and other items.

Star snap sets

Star shaped snaps come with one stud, one socket, a star shaped cap and a round cap in each set and there are 10 sets in each pack.  When making an item, you will generally only need one star for each snap closure, as on most items you can only see one side of the snap.

Applying star shaped snaps

Star shaped snaps are applied in the same way (see our how to guide) as normal KAM snaps, but with slightly less pressure.  Our snap pliers have the larger size 22 die that you will need for the star shaped caps, as well as the smaller size 20 die that you will need for the normal round shaped caps.
